Sheryl Renee is a 2nd generation performer, who has been entertaining audiences since she was a child. Sheryl enjoys a versatile career which includes some impressive career highlights, such as performance with the Sheryl Renee band, Salute to the Legends tribute shows, work with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, the Broadmoor Pops Orchestra, and singing the National Anthem, when President Barack Obama, signed the Economic Stimulous bill on February 17, 2009. Sheryl has been in three dozen theatrical productions including work with Bonfils Theater, Atlanta's famed Jomandi Productions, Walden Family Playhouse, and lead roles in shows like Beehive the 60's Musical, Bessie’s Blues, Dreamgirls and she was also the original "Power Woman" in the Denver production of Menopause the Musical. Sheryl’s portrayal of Hattie McDaniel in the one woman play Hi Hat Hattie, won her the 2004 Denver Post Ovation Award for Best Actress in a Musical and the 2005. Since then Sheryl has co-written and starred in the hit musicals, Sistas & Storytellers, Live at the Rossonian, and Music of Freedom; An Homage to Ira & George Gershwin. Sheryl is a session/jingle vocalist, who has been recorded on more CD demos and commercial projects than she can quantify. She produced her first solo project Sheryl Renee and her Salute to the Legends and the acapella Gospel CD, One Voice. In June she received an award from the African-American Voice Newspaper for Entertainer of the Year! Outside of music Sheryl is an interior redesigner, Children’s Safety advocate, and owner of the now closed  Black Swan Private Event House. Her Blessings and Joy come from the Creator, Jesus Christ, daughters Leah, Rena & Ameerah, grandpumpkins Emani, Jeanae, Emiya, and her singing dog Ella!!

Sheryl Renee is a proud Coloradan and American citizen. She is the daughter of vocalist/actress Katie Love of Katie Love and The Four Shades of Black. Her step-father was a member and the vocal arranger of the group, and music and harmony were a major part of her childhood, along with brother drummer "Skippy D", and her sister Karyne. During Sheryl's teenage years she sang in the award winning Madrigal choir "Montage", The Council For Self Development Performers, bands and theatre. At age 20 she made the decision to pursue music full time.

Vocals - A career vocalist, Sheryl's love and passion for song and stage are evident in her relaxed nature on stage and rapport with the audience. She has shared the stage with some of the best musicians in the world, and has a remarkable ability to cover most styles of music. She has an extensive repertoire, polish and range. Whether solo with musical tracks, with her group the Sheryl Renee Band, or as guest vocalist with some of the top groups in the country, Sheryl brings class and skills to each event. She is the leader of the Black Swan Singers vocal group, where she has a great time performing with the groups like the Bluegrass/Jam band Railroad Earth.

Theatre -Sheryl has been in 29 theatrical productions to date including her first Musical production, Working foh Henry Lowenstein Bonfils theater, with Buddy Butler, Rick Seeber, & Cleo Parker Robinson. (not a bad kick-off!) Sheryl has been in productions for Atlanta's famed Jomandi Productions, Walden Family Playhouse, and has had lead roles in shows like Beehive the 60's Musical, Bessie's Blues, Dreamgirls and more! Her portrayal of Hattie McDaniel in the one woman play Hi Hat Hattie, won her the Denver Post 2004 Ovation Award for Best Actress in a Musical and the 2005 Best of Westword award for Best Singing in a Musical. She was also the original "Power Woman" in the Denver production of Menopause the Musical. She took her skills a step further and with CoCo Brown, co-wrote the hit musical, Sistas & Storytellers, then wrote, directed & produced Live at the Rossonian, a 1958 Celebrity Impersonation Revue in which Sheryl starred as Ella Fitzgerald along with 20 other vocal and comedic Icon impersonators. Her most recent work she wrote with Hazel Miller, for the Mizel Museum, Music of Freedom: An Homage to Ira & George Gershwin, in which she once again stepped into the role of the incredible Ella Fitzgerald.

Television - Sheryl's experience with television encompasses all areas. She co-hosted the Atlanta gospel video program Praising His Name!, and was frequent guest on Candi Statons "Say Yes" gospel show on TBN. (Sheryl also sang back-up for Candi and is featured on the song Hold On, Jesus Is Comin on Candi's "Cover Me" CD.) Besides appearing in numerous television commercials and interviews, Sheryl filmed, produced and directed the programs The Making Of A Portrait, A Tribute To Hiawatha Davis, Bethsaida Temple's In The Word with Bishop Earl Holiman and the two series workout/hip replacement video of R-U-A Pro Fitness. Sheryl also created and produced the television special "Seat Belts Rule!" for her Lovey Secure Children's Safety Crusade. She stars in the DVD, with her daughters and a host of friends and safety experts. In 2006 she performed in front of Millions with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, on the Home for the Holidays televised Christmas program, on Denver's KCNC Channel 4. The year before she performed with famed Conductor Marvin Hamlish and the CSO. Most recently she and her band were featured on The Altitude Channels On Stage, 30 minute program.

Session/studio - A session/jingle vocalist for over 20 years, Sheryl has been recorded on more CD demos and commercial projects than she can quantify. She learned her studio skills from the absolute best and is herself a master session leader. She produced her first solo project Sheryl Renee and her Salute to the Legends, Volume I, and has a new acapella Gospel CD entitled One Voice.


Interior Redesign - Sheryl Renee Redesign (A Division of SR Productions) allows Sheryl to follow another of her great passions. Sheryl is the self proclaimed "Bargain Hunting Queen of Colorado" and combined this with her handy ways, and designing creativity. As a desk top publisher, Sheryl's knack for creating graphics and marketing is growing. She is the webmaster for several websites.

Entrepreneur- Self employed for 27 years, Sheryl is fearless in her pursuit of her dreams and business opportunities. 

Children's Safety-
a Children's safety advocate since 1995, Sheryl recently re-activated her Lovey Secure Children's Safety Crusade. The shows teach safety to children, in a way that they learn best; with music, costumed characters and plenty of audience interaction. Sheryl received a mini grant from the Colorado Department of transportation and has been performing her shows for Metro Denver area daycare's. She proudly accepted, when asked by Cordy & CO of the African American Safety Belt program with CDOT, to be the spokesperson for their "Men in our lives" safety belt campaign.

Family - Her greatest joys are her daughters Leah, Rena & Ameerah, granddaughters Emani, Jeanae & Emiya, and her singing dog Ella!! Sheryl has played the role of stage mother, as all of her girls were born with a natural talent. Leah was a popular child model who appeared in commercials and print ads. She has a beautiful soprano voice, and singd Back-up for Hazel Miller. Rena is an author and poet, and self -published her poetry book " Young, But Yet So Deep" at the age of 19. She also recorded a spoken word CD entitled "Truthfully Spoken". Ameerah, who has all of Sheryl's passion and vigor for the entertainment business, is destined to be a superstar! 

Anthems
Performed the National Anthem for President Barack Obamas signing of the 2009 Economic Stimulus Bill, National Anthem voice for Mayor John Hickenlooper's State of the City Address, John Elway's Colorado Crush AFL Football Team's 2003 Season. Has performed the Anthem for Denver Nuggets, Colorado Rockies, Denver Broncos, Bandimere Speedway,  The Globetrotters, Bill Picket Invitational Rodeo, Colorado Rapids, Pepsi Center, Denver University Hockey, Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Hawks, 1996 Olympic Game festivities and many ceremonies and corporate events.
