Nearly half of the U.S. Homes have some type of firearm and one in four has a handgun. The sad and ridiculously high Statistics prove that children will seek out, load and pull the trigger of a found weapon. Guns are a leading cause of injury and death to children. With the recent escallation in school /weapon related violence, the country is adopting a no tolerence attitude.

Some advice:

* Never keep a loaded gun around the house. If you must keep a weapon it should be under lock and key, with the bullets locked up in another location.
* Always assume that your child, regardless of weapon safety education, may succumb to the powerful curiosity, associated with guns.
* Drawer gaurds, are suggested for all knives.
* Teach your child the proper way to hold a knife and scissors, which is blade pointed down...and very carefully!
