About Us
Playground

* Do not leave children unattended on playground equipment. When choosing playgrounds for your children, look for soft playground surfacing, such as rubber matting, wood chips, wood mulch, bark mulch, sand, shredded tirechips, and fine or medium gravel to absorb falls. The amount used depends on the height of the equipment.
* Playground equpiment should have a six-foot clearance around each piece and a 12-foot clearance between two pieces.
* Choose playgrounds that are safe from tripping and falling hazards, away from the street and free from roots, vines, rocks, drop-offs and bricks. They should be accessible to restrooms, water fountains and open areas with some shade.
* Teach children how to properly use the playground equipment, and be sure there are enough caregivers to make eye contact with every child at all times. Playground equipment should be age-appropriate.
* Trampolines can be dangerous. Always have adult supervision.
